Not much left! the Chester Granite Works was a staple in Chester during the quarry era, the previous post we showed you the location near the railstation. The granite was brought down to the village via the Chester and Becket Railroad from Becket to work and polish the stone. Gravestones were also made here. This is the Finn’s Granite and Polishing Works plant was constructed across from the Roundhouse. It was a competitor of the Chester Granite Works. We managed to find remains of one derrick post and base.
