Shatterack Mountain in Russell, where the inspiration for the Hilltown Hikers was born! On Saturday we braved the humidity and trekked up to one of the most spectacular rocky cliffs in the Hilltowns. Views to Blandford and the White Church, down to the villages of Russell and Huntington, also Mount Nero and East out the Westfield River to the Pioneer Valley.  A steep short climb from Lower Russell Road in the summer when the road is open.
