My favorite photos from this weekend group camping at Indian Hollow are the East Branch River Crossing!! Here is a compilation of all of our photos.

Saturday we ventured out to hike the East Branch Trail and to get there we had to cross the East Branch of the Westfield River. Strapping on the water shoes all made it including dogs. We hiked 5 miles in and back from mile marker 5 to 7 on this flat trail which is also great for biking and cross country skiing. The other half of our group continued on to Knightville Dam, going across it and back to the campground on the Claude M Hill Trail for an 11 mile loop, crossing the Dead Branch Trail at the end. What they forgot was their water shoes were on the other side of the East Branch!

Our 1st ever group camping trip was at Indian Hollow in Chesterfield. Friday thru Sunday morning we camped, ate and hiked and I have to say it was an awesome weekend! Joining us was Directors Karen, Stephanie, Kim and Liz. Members Greg, Tom, Debbie, Joanne, Heather, Paddy, Elbert, Bernice, Carol, Dori, Kristine, Melanie, Dayna and Jason with his schoolbus, Matthew, Debbie S., Karen’s dad, Tricia….Karen’s corn chowder, Joanne’s apple pie were my favs, we ate more than we hiked! All the dogs came along too. Debbie put together a great scrapbook of adventures for all to see. We hiked the East Branch Trail, the Claude M. Hill Trail, the Dead Branch and the Pinnacle. Fishing at dawn, our campfire with strawberry smores and fireworks on Saturday night! Best of all no cell service!

Catch our next trip July 4th one night at Nobleview in Russell!
