Sunday’s hike took us to Chesterfield Gorge for a six mile hike in and back on the East Branch Trail to Bakers Dam. Stopped at the quarry area and hiked inside to see more of the operation that is not visible from the trail with massive walls of schist.  We went down deep into the gorge to see the amazing verticle and horizontal potholes and the old Post Road bridge abutment.  A geological outdoor museum!
