Every spring, water releases at Littleville Lake are coordinated with those from Knightville Dam to provide enough water for the annual Westfield River Wildwater Canoe Races. The Huntington Access Area on Goss Hill Road provides a boat ramp and parking area for easy access to the lake.  When the water is still and clear you can remains of the stone walls of the village of Littleville that was taken by eminent domain to flood this valley for back up water supply for Springfield.  Trails run on both sides of the lake.
