Near the southern foot of Mt. Greylock, in Adams, there is a gorge on Peck’s Brook hidden between high cliffs. The cold stream rushes over the lip of one gorge and down into another, dropping over twenty feet behind a tiny natural bridge of limestone that connects the cliffs. In the lower gorge is a small cavern or “shelf-cave”;and evidently this entire natural bridge gorge waterfall series was at one time a large cave which was carved out by the stream flowing constantly through.-Clay Perry
