Shatterack Mountain in Russell on Unkamit’s Path section 7 starting at the white blazed gaurdrail just after the Main Street bridge and Hull Lumber. This trail takes you up gradually yet consistently up the ridge with views the entire way! We went to the gold rock lookout over the village of Russell and then a bit higher to the blue rock lookout towards the West. Hit the snow line pretty quick and the trail went to pure ice after blue rock. This trail (white blaze onrocks and trees) intersects with the Shatterack ridge trail and then continues across Shatterack and Tekoa to Westfield for 7.5 miles. Went up to prep for our group hike here in two weeks!
