Russ and I did the loop, first from Buckley Dunton Reservoir (see previous post). After we drove down Becket Road to find the Cordonier Trailhead. It is a complete loop but you would have to walk Becket Road which has little traffic. Parking is at both trailheads. The Cordonier Trail actually continues across the road and you end up near Greenwater Pond. Great relatively flat hiking here. October Mountain State Forest is large! Take the Buckley Dunton Trail around the lake and then connect to the Cordonier Trail to make a loop back out to Yokum Pond Road, approx. 6 miles. Trail connections here to Finnerty Pond and the Appalachian Trail. Use GAIA gps, shows all the trails and mileage with accuracy.
