The Lyman Mill remains are still visibile along with the mill pond created to harness the water power of Roaring Brook. Horse Hill lies inside Huntington State Forest, the old Jourdan Road ran from Montgomery to Huntington here traveling through a deep valley split with Roaring Brook and a branch of the Manhan River on the other. Old Horse Hill Road still exists although the forest has been long forgotten. The stone walls, and small cellar holes proved the early settlers once occupied this wilderness surrounded on three sides by fast moving brooks. Harlow Clark Road bridge abutments were impressive as the road had continued and once connected. Also, we found and impressive stone laid bridge crossing the Manhan.
