Went back to the Wright Mine on Round Top Hill, since we found it last week, to spend more time exploring it. Brought our local adventure seekers Tom and Jim equipped with gps and several maps we tracked and explored the open cut which was approximately 100 feet + long, 40 feet deep in places. Also discovered the shaft there, told to be 80 feet deep, as well as more equipment remains. We hiked uphill following the entire cut and viewed most of the dump piles. Emery was first found in America right here in Chester as early as 1835. Wright ancestors can be found at the Wright Memorial Cemetary just down the road.
