Sperry Road Campground was our home for two nights camping at the most remote and highest elevation camp site in Massachusetts at Stony Ledge on Mount Greylock State Reservation this weekend with a 2.5 mile hike in with your water and gear. The group site includes a large lean to a primitive outhouse, no water source and the most beautiful views in the Berkshires!! A quiet spot right along the Haley Farm Trail, we ate our dinners with spectacular views and star gazed at the big dipper and the summit of Mount Greylock! The entire Sperry Road campground is open after a few years shut down complete with new solar bathhouses, running water and toilets and its great, we chose the most remote option one mile from the closest bathhouse for the views of course!
