The Riverside Inn aka White’s Hotel on Main Street originally built as a house 1850, the railroad station master’s home. In 1881 William White expanded it to a three story hotel. From that point on this was the #hubofthehilltowns with music, drink, food, fights, murders, a make shift hospital and more. It was considered “one of the best Inns between Boston and Albany”. It has stood vacant for approx 30 years.
