HILLTOWN HISTORY The Blandford section of the Huckleberry Trolley Line included the Charles Leseige Farm, next to his lot was Joseph Lesage with his farm, both were taken by eminent domain to build the trolley through on the route up Cooks Mountain from Huntington. The land owners on the route stood behind this construction effort because it opened up a route of travel for the first time from the secluded Hilltowns to Lee. Stations are the waypoints for measurements along the line. Station 88 was here at Leseige. This past winter, we researched the entire line from Huntington to Lee in order to properly document it for all to enjoy, thanks to many volunteers!
