Upper Osden Road in Southampton was discontinued as a town road in 1908 which lead to the only homestead atop Wolf Hill. Built by Noah Burt in 1750, and later four generations of his family lived here. Burt was here plowing his fields when called to serve in the American Revolution, he was called up three times. The property was sold to Elihu Gaylord in 1855, then to Joseph Osden in 1863, In 1889 is was sold by the Osden estate as woodlot. The giant barn and home cellar still remains.
