Old South Worthington Road aka Fisk Road in Chester. Awhile back we hiked down old Fisk Road in North Chester towards Littleville Lake, this road is named South Worthington at the point where South Worthington intersects from Goss Hill. This entire area was abandoned due to the building of the Littleville Lake and Dam however it was thriving during the early 1900’s. This was the main road to both Huntington and Chester. The entire length is five miles one way and continues under Littleville Lake and up and out on the other side. Kayaking from the Dayville launch gives you an under water tour of the tiny village of Littleville. We found the other end of Howard Road (see previous post) intersection here also. #hikethehilltowns with the #westernmasshilltownhikers #hilltownhistory
