Cross Road on the Chester Blandford town line near Round Hill…once a short road that led to a dump site filled with old bottles in 1912. The old road posts are still there but the small bridge over the stream is long gone. The road bed was evident with the old growth trees and stone wall but it was very much grown in. The new road put in place to connect Chester and Blandford is Blandford Road today. This was once a thriving area with a schoolhouse located on the corner of Round Hill Road and Park Knox Road where many children from this part of Blandford attended even though the school was in Chester. Found a water trough here also. Russ said it was a good place to teach the puppy how to bushwack hike, she did well!
