In search of the Chester Blandford State Forest fire tower at the highest elevation point. An old DCR road barely noticeable now lead to what was the location, wire cables and a depression were found here. We used lidar mapping to get an approximate location. This Fire Tower was moved by the CCC Camp workers to nearby Tolland State Forest and errected on Lair Mountain above Otis Reservoir in 1934. It was a CCC built steel super structure with a steel plate cabin. @MassDCR @massdcr
