Pitcher Street in Montgomery once continued down the mountain from Main Road to Westfield to Reservoir Road, a much faster commute! Your GPS may try to still take you this way as the road was discontinued in the 1960’s. Make it a loop by starting at the parking for Grace Robson Sanctuary on Reservoir Road in Westfield and taking the old washed out road up the mountain at a gradual climb passing by a boundary stone to the summit where present day Pitcher Street ends and houses have been built, great views here! Loop back down at the Fish and Wildlife sign to get sights of the Tekoa cliffs and yet another boundary stone. 2.29 miles with 400 feet of elevation, like most of the trails on Tekoa Mountain, trails and old roads are not blazed, bring your GPS. Parking also at the end of Pitcher Street in Montgomery.
