Shatterack Ridge Trail (blazed light blue) takes you quickly up to the flat open rock face of Shatterack Mountain in Russell/Montgomery and is just 1 mile until it joins Unkamit’s Path (white dot) coming up from Carrington Road. A 360 degree view here when it’s leafless. Outstanding mica and minerals along the rocky ledge for rock hounds.  Great for families and peak baggers alike with limited parking on Russell Road. The Road is not accessible in winter by car making for a 2 mile hike to access the ridge. Unkamit’s Path runs across both Shatterack and Tekoa Ridge coming out in Westfield at Reservoir Road. Please respect our open spaces and leave no trace.
