Farnham Reservoir at 40 acres in October Mountain State Forest offers nice hiking along the Whitney Place Road. Located in some of the lesser known areas of this giant state forest on the Washington/Lenox side. Parking on New Lenox Road (at the bottom in winter) or hike up the Roaring Brook Trail.
