Let’s get spooky! Abandoned factory manufactured grinding wheels in the1930’s, Cortland Grinding Wheels Corp. employed around 100 men and one of the largest manufacturers of emery grinding wheels in the country. The factory across the street burned in the 1960’s but the warehouse still stands. The tunnels underground between the buildings served the boilerman access in bad weather because the heat plant was across the street from the factory.
