From the 360 cam! Summit of Spruce Hill aka Busbys Knob. Elevation 2,570 feet overlooking Adams and great views of Mount Greylock! One of the best summit views in Western Mass. On the way down lookout towards the Mohawk Trail, Rowe, the Hoosac Range and Todd Mountain. Saturday’s Flash Hike adventure took us to Savoy Mountain State Forest. We started out on the Busby Trail heading up the mountain to Spruce Hill and it’s glorious summit at 2,566 feet. The trail starts on Central Shaft Road, 1.5 miles each way, in and back. Along this trail we found a shelter cave and the Busby old Homestead. The trail rises steeply for the last 800 feet up on almost verticle stone stone steps.
