Continuing on the High Road Trail to the Yokun Seat another 1.5 miles across Damp Mountain then climbing to 2,116 feet of elevation to the seat where views are amazing of Mount Greylock, Richmond Pond and far North to the Dome in Vermont. From here we turned back and headed for Osceda Mountain, a stop on the way back.

We set out in Pittsfield to tackle the North Yokun Ridge on the High Road at Bousquet Ski. A kiosk in the parking lot marks the Northernmost end of the High Road Trail. Here is also the trailhead for the Mahanna Cobble Trail which climbs to 1,896 feet of elevation at the summit in just two miles. The climb crosses two ski trails before it enters the woods. A natural spring crosses the trail, there is very little water on the Yokun Ridge. At the summit, glorious views and the infamous George Wislocki bench (founder of the Berkshire Natural Resources Council) greets you with views of the entire Yokun Ridge, Monument Mountain and the Taconics. We continued on here South on the High Road Trail.
