The Keystone Arch Bridges Trail beautiful in any season! Saturday afternoon the snow lasted into the early evening, took that opportunity to break trail and get great snow enhanced photos of some of the history here. The Gator Arch, aka the Western Railroad Stone bridge #6 on the original Railroad now with the modern day rail poured concrete bridge abutting it. You can see this one in winter clearly from the KAB trail. This bridge is the most endangered, not on the KAB trail, (although Unkamit’s Path runs over it) and right to the side of the Pontoosuc Turnpike. The three county boundary stones, also on the Pontoosuc Turnpike mark Hampden, Hampshire and Berkshire County. We paid a visit to the 65 foot arch also.
