Gigi’s Bench! Gige Darey Champion of the land and it’s wildlife!
We love the Yokun Ridge, exploring a bit farther once you are on the Burbank Trail as described below, continue on the High Road towards the Lenox Reservoir and enter the realm of mountain bike trails! GAIA trailforks overlay show these and their creative names and the trail to the Kennedy Cliffs with a spectacular view of Parsons Marsh and Church on the Hill looking out towards Kennedy Park. Back when there was not really any signage on this ridge we would explore these wonderful trails, still draws me back today!

Olivia’s Overlook and the South Yokun Ridge, parking on Richmond Mountain Road with a view; Lenox, Richmond and West Stockbridge town corners meet here. We took the 3.2 mile Burbank Loop which starts at the trailhead kiosk across the road from the parking. This hike is always good, year round. We hiked clockwise, first leg is on the ridge, look out for a short spur to the left for a view and the monument dedicated to Kelton Burbank, lots of signage here for trail direction, come to the crossroads of continuing on the High Road to the North Ridge, Yokun Seat and Mahanna Cobble, head right to continue the loop below (you can also continue South here on the High Road to Kirapalu) the ridge to Monk’s Pond and the John Gorham Homestead back to the parking lot. Flew the drone here and enjoyed the sun after!
