The Gilmore Interpretive Trail, the short loop is just under a mile and flat. Hike the first half along the banks of Otis Reservoir. Be sure to stop and read the kiosks which coincide with the paper brochure. We found an old quarry on the way back! (not marked)This trail starts at the parking lot on New State Forest Road. Choose the 4 mile longer loop to explore more of the woodlands.

Make sure you have your DCR State Park pass or pay at the gate at Tolland State Forest well worth it for a day of hiking!
