Hiking on the newest trail in the Hilltowns!
Conwell by Hilltown Land Trust
https://www.hilltownlandtrust.org/hiking-at-the-conwell-property

Offers three miles of trails and history! Parking is on route 112 in Worthington, walk up from there over the bridge where the trail head is on your right. Old growth trees and stone walls are plentiful and the landscape changes often to keep you interested. We came to a large earthen dam holding a pond where the trail takes you across the dam itself. The Drake cellar hole and well are here to the left of the pond. Old maps show a saw mill here and a basket factory along Jackson Brook. Continue on the old road trails to the left and also up to the Eagle Nest Ridge to your right where Conwell had errected a tower. The old roads continue but are not marked. Check out the Worthington Historical site for in depth info on Mr. Conwell and his “acres of diamonds”. #worthingtonma #HLT #HilltownLandTrust
