Flash hiking Saturday at Granville State Forest on several trails, we started out on the Camp Trail starting at the main parking lot on your left on West Hartland Road. This trail takes you along the Hubbard River opposite the Hubbard River Trail and has several river lookouts, easy and relatively flat with several bridges including a scenic spot on Halfway Brook. There are some CCC remnants here along with the latrine. This trail then connects to the Halfway Brook trail and also continues uphill along Halfway Brook to the Campground. It also connects to the Pipeline Trail. The entire Camp trail is 2.2 miles one way. Keep your eyes peeled for moose!
