English Grass Cave in Montgomery #flashhike 01-12-20

#flashhike  today to English Grass Cave in Montgomery #hikethehilltowns adventure #westernmasshilltownhikers we hiked on the Tekoa Mountain range by gps to find the hiding place of British soldiers on the run. We went in and discovered a large room with two openings with obvious living quarters a tunnel leading from this room was caved in to a 3 foot entrance. This tunnel continues thru the cave. The cave rock inside was beautiful sparkling with mica, it was damp and water was dripping from the ceiling, humid and cold inside the cave so that we saw our breath. Special thanks to Julie the land owner who let us come thru her property.

  1. Wonderful adventure. I’ve been searching for the history. Could you post Southwoods article on site or email as I can’t get it from text. Thanks
