| First time camper or a lover of sleeping under the stars….this trip is for you!
Adventure awaits you at our camping event at the Indian Hollow private campground in Chesterfield, Thursday June 4th thru Sunday June 7th. This campground located in the valley of the East Branch of the Westfield River is only available to groups, and only two at a time making this trip exclusive!
We welcome you to discover the beauty of nature here at the river, the history of a forgotten valley once occupied by a village in colonial times and adventure hiking and paddling with over 11 miles of trails to discover.
Camp on your own (the place is very large), or camp near friends; set up your tent and enjoy four full days of little to no cell service (there is a pay phone) and peace and quiet. We supply the firewood and someone always is eager to tend the campfire. Bring your own food and some to share with others. Bring your kayak, inner tube or paddleboard and enjoy the beautiful untouched river far from any road (you can drive up on the grass and unload your gear). Come for one night, one day or all nights!
Facilities Include: Bathhouse with shower and flushing toilets, hot water, drinking water, one power plug outside the bathhouse, grills, campfire circles, pay phone. Bring your water shoes and water gear!

Mission Statement: Western Mass Hilltown Hikers, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes to engage in all legal activities relating to the development, maintenance and operation of historical properties and tours, recreational hiking and outdoor adventure in Western Massachusetts. Western Mass Hilltown Hikers, Inc. provides monthly, guided group tours of historical hiking destinations in various locations of Western Massachusetts. We also provide volunteer trail maintenance for trails, maintain our historic conserved properties and provide educational presentations to other civic groups, non-profit organizations, libraries and schools.
