There’s lots more to see at the Knightville Dam in Huntington including an old mill, hike along the top for great views but start at the bottom picnic areas and take a walk back in Hilltown History. History.
The Knightville Dam Recreation Area encompasses 2,430 acres of land that is overseen by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. The dam was constructed from 1939–1941, impounding the East Branch of the Westfield River. Its creation was in direct response to the devastating flood of 1936.
