McMasters Cave, Williamstown.  A pleasant hike at Field Farm holds the unexpected…for some.  We set out to hike this destination with helmets, headgear and suits knowing on the loop back we could check out the forgotten caves area where the water draining from various mountain seeps and springs has formed caves under the trail.  A unique (and very muddy) wet approach to the cave entrance leads to a series of narrow slides to gain entry to the larger corridors.  Maps courtesy Jim Moore.
