On our Knox guided group hike last season, we had a special guest appearance by Ron Bernard of Sandisfield Historical who described and showed us a Native American burial site near the trail.  Over the last 10 years the Hilltown Hikers have traversed miles and miles of historical paths, documenting waypoints including graves of Hession soldiers, General Knox’s axe men roads, taverns where soldiers ate and camps where they slept.  This is Hilltown History hidden in our undeveloped forests of Western Mass! #mass250 #rev250 #berkshire250
