The Trees of Peace Grove dedicated in 1997 by DCR in honor of the Native Americans who passed through this area.  The tall trees tower to the equivalent of a 13 story building, in 2019 there were 24 white pines that were 150 tall or more.  Mohawk Trail State Forest has 21 160 footers in total and a third are here; Chief Jake Swamp, Chief Joe Norton of the French Mohawks, John Brown Chief of the Rhode Island Narragansetts, Lakota Chief Arvol Looking Horse nineteenth carrier of the White Buffalo Calf Bundle…and all four have visited here.
