Monday night Chester experienced one of the worst flash floods in history concentrated on Prospect Hill and Crane/Maynard Road where over 5 inches fell in 2.5 hours. All that water went down the mountain into the Prospect Hill homes and streets right down to the Chester Railway Museum taking out asphalt, all dirt roads and yards, driveways and filled everyone’s basements. Even our Chester Granite and Polishing Works property front entrance was swept away. We worked on rebuilding yesterday and have recovered the entrance.
