After 20 years of land conservation work, the mighty Tom Ball Mountain Reserve is open for hiking thanks to the efforts of our friends at BNRC! Located both in Alford and Great Barrington the 3.5 mile loop includes amazing stone work by the Greenagers climbing the East side of Tom Ball with wicked switchbacks coming to the ridge on an incredible colonial road built with stone banking. Long Pond can be seen on one half of this route thru the trees and also Monument Mountain. Future plans are to officially blaze more trails here, parking on Alford Road. Great work BNRC, thumbs up from all of us!
