This weekends backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail from Sages Ravine at the CT  line to Shays Rebellion in Sheffield was adventure packed with a high water start at Sages.  The team crossed at Bear Rock Falls up to their waists, normally an easy traverse…challenges of high water from the recent rains made for a slower pace keeping safety first.  Once out of the water coming around to Race Mountain Ridge the sun came out and the 360 degree views opened up to the BEST views in Western Mass! The team camped out at Glen Brook after climbing Mount Everett and started out Mother’s Day over Mount Bushnell and came down Jug End. We offer adventures like this a few times a year to our members, join us for the next one!
