Round Top Hill in Chester, highest point in Hampden County land monitoring with Mariel from @Hilltown Land Trust.  Each year, conserved land gets a check-up on its wild and natural health and property boundaries.  The Western Mass Hilltown Hikers and Hilltown Land Trust together protect and steward this mountain to keep it conserved in it’s natural state.  Evidence of moose and deer was observed along with some old growth hardwoods.  The hiking trail here is a destination for peak baggers to reach the summit benchmarks at 1,750 feet.  New this year is the parking area located on Round Hill Road across from the kiosk.
