Loving the Culture and Agriculture in the Hilltowns, did you know there are so many farms including tree, cattle and berry in the Hilltowns that have been operating for generations? Lois Strum, entrepreneur and economic booster in Chester runs a blueberry farm in the Westfield River Valley. This area was once home to two large Mica Factories which processed the Mica from the mountain high above in Chester Blandford Forest. You can buy her blueberry jam at the historic Pease Store on Main Street in Chester on weekends, which she also owns and is historically rehabilitating.
