HILLTOWN HISTORY this building stood at the location of the current Chester Village Market. Originally known as Hamilton’s Block, then Redfield’s Block and Rose’s Block at the time of this photograph. The high school, running out of room in the old Town Hall, moved into the Hibernian Hall on the third floor of this building.  Route 20 Lost Businesses. Left – Alvord Blacksmith stood next to the Elementary school and is now a vacant lot. Right- Rose’s Block, various businesses occupied this space in front of where Chester Village Market is today.
