Our most amazing discovery to date at the Chester Granite and Polishing Works was finding three blades from the saw buried in twelve inches of dirt.  Invented by Lester Williams these Saw teeth were interchangeable,  as they wore from the hard Granite stone.  Lester also invented the shot technology of cutting, a slurry of metal and water sprayed at the blade that did the cutting of the stone.  Our new Granite bench in front of the loading dock shows this well.
