The 50hp Fairbanks Morse steam engine at the Chester Granite and Polishing Works in the 1980s courtesy of Danny Nason. Bob Davenport pictured who worked at the factory on its last day, on this day the engine was sold and taken away by a collector in Pittsfield. Our goal is to historically rehabilitate the entire 3 acre Chester Granite Finishing Works.
