Sunday’s Group Hike at York Lake with special guest DCR Ranger Travis (on his birthday!).  The Sandisfield State Forest, located in Sandisfield and New Marlborough is 3,923 acres acquired by the state in 1924. The Pond Loop is 2.2 miles of easy hiking over several bridges and includes the Spruce Forest planted by the CCC during the great depression.  Great hike to end our 2024 public hike schedule!
