WELCOME TO THE GREYLOCK GLEN OUTDOOR CENTER!…owned and operated by the Town of Adams to serve as a public gathering space for residents and visitors; and to serve as an educational facility focused on environmental issues and conservation. Our host for the day was Adams Selectboard vice chair, Christine Hoyt who was as excited anout the new center as we were! Soon it will include a full-service restaurant too and organizations can rent the spaces for events. Mass Audubon has been selected as the educational partner and will offer programming, based out of the multipurpose rooms. In 2014 the Town of Adams obtained a 99-year lease with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to develop 56 acres within Greylock Glen. This lease leaves over 1,000 acres restricted from future development. The Center was almost entirely grant funded. A great addition to the entire Adams/Mount Greylock area for outdoor recreation!
