Paddling on the Westfield River in Russell at Turtle Bend from the Main Street bridge gives a new perspective of Turtle Bend Mountain and the old railroad bed that once ran on the opposite side of the river.  The cliffs on the mountain are awe inspiring and so steep from the water.  Put in at Frog Hollow Road and paddle right up to the rapids at Turtle Bend!
