The South Yokun Ridge in West Stockbridge has great trails good for all. Most accessible parking is at Olivia’s Overlook on Richmond Mountain Road but its usually crowded, go downhill on the road just a few hundred feet and park at the High Road Parking Lot at the Kirapalu Gatehouse and follow the High Road trail blazes to the intersection of the Brothers Trail which gets you on the South Ridge. Hit the Charcoal Trail here clockwise to gradually climb the mountain, about a six mile loop total for both trails.
