Jacob’s Ladder Trail ascends to a height of 1,775 feet at the summit (route 20). Jacob’s Well and Jacob’s Spring where, in the byway’s early days, cars stopped for water when they became overheated climbing the hills of the Jacob’s Ladder Trail. You can stop and see the well, lined with pool tile at the Jacobs Ladder Becket kiosk right on Route 20!
