We took a hiking tour of just a part of the Chester Blandford State Forest starting at the Sanderson Falls parking area on Route 20 across from Bannish Lumber, heading up Sanderson Brook Road to the H Newman Marsh Memorial Trail climbing 700 feet of elevation gain then on to the Memorial loop with its three vistas of the Westfield River Valley, continuing on Mica Mine Road where we ran into some hunters, to the Mica Mine then looping back down Observation Hill Road and the views of Blandford from the CCC Trail back down Sanderson Brook by the upper view of the waterfall for a 7 mile loop.
