Across from this quarry is a large boulder, signed by the quarrymen who built the Keystone Arch Railroad. Along the Boston and Albany Railroad heading West in Middlefield where Keystone Arch bridge 10 is located is a large quarry complete with the remains of a loading dock. The stone was quarried to build the stone arch bridges along this wild section of mountain railroad. There are several quarries here along the railroad.
