The Chester big view trail with its views of Chester Factory Village from Gobble Mountain are impressive. An old network of mining roads and the mountainside farmers fields are now taken back by the forest. Once open and clear as shown on old postcards, this was part of the expanding village when the Western Railroad came through town and shifted the town center from Chester Hill (Skyline Trail today) to the Factory village. Big View starts at the end of Olin Avenue by permission of the landowner for viewing the unique rock formations here.
